What’s in the Loop:
🎉 What We're Hosting This Summer
Chicago Tech Week is in July, and we're hosting big meetups.

Over the next few weeks I'll be announcing a series of events we're putting on during the week. Each one is built around a different part of what's happening in Chicago's tech scene right now.
Today, I'm sharing the first two:
💸 Chicago Builds: Future of Money - July 22
You may have seen the video announcement last week. This one has been in the works for a while, and I'm excited to finally share the full vision.
On Wednesday July 22nd, we're bringing together the founders, operators, and investors building the future of how money moves. Stablecoins. Tokenization. Real-time settlement. AI trading. Prediction markets. The conversations happening in rooms like this one are what shape the next decade of financial infrastructure.
I'm hosting Chicago Builds: Future of Money alongside my friends Winston and Darryl from Paul Hastings LLP.
Confirmed speakers include leading founders in the space, including many I’ve featured in recent editions of Landon’s Loop:
Brett Harrison
Daniel Lev and Ben Meeder
Maria Cannizzo
And MORE
We’ll have over 400 attendees. High signal content. And an after party in River North.
If you're a founder reshaping money movement, an investor tracking the next wave of financial infrastructure, or an operator inside the companies making it real, this summit was built for you.
🤠 Fastest Draw in the 312 - July 24
To close out Chicago Tech Week, we’re hosting a rooftop startup showcase on the last day of the week.

Founders will set up, present their products, and put their work in front of investors and operators who are actually paying attention. No slides-only decks. No panels. Just builders showing what they've built.
It’ll feel like a startup science fair during a true summer Friday in Chicago.
We’ll be on the rooftop, with BBQ and some of the most interesting early companies in the Midwest all in one place.
If you're a founder who wants to showcase your company, we want to hear from you. If you're an investor or operator who wants to see what's being built in the 312, come through.

Spots are strictly limited on both sides.
Register now and fill out the intake questions to lock in your spot.
🚀 Recap: 200 Creators on a Sunday
Yesterday we hosted our second [vibe coded] Creator Hackathon. A series where we bring creators into a room with engineers to teach them how to build apps for their audiences.
200 people showed up. On a Sunday.

These aren't devs. They're podcasters, newsletter writers, community builders, event organizers, people who have spent years earning attention from an audience that trusts them. And they came because they're starting to realize something important: the gap between having an idea and shipping a product just collapsed.

Replit joined us to show exactly how far that gap has closed. The message was if you can describe what you want to build, you can build it. The bottleneck is no longer code.
That's the thesis behind this series. Creators are sitting on something most founders spend years trying to acquire: a community that already listens. The missing piece has always been the ability to turn that trust into a product. Vibe coding changes that.

What we kept hearing in the room was some version of the same sentence: "I've had this idea for a while but didn't think I could build it."
